## Quick answer

Fires are allowed only in a grill or brazier. Campfires and bonfires are not allowed.

## Detailed answer

City park rules make it unlawful to light or keep any fire except in a grill or brazier, and campfires are not allowed. A portable barbecue grill is fine for a picnic, but a fire on the sand is not. Never leave a grill unattended, and do not bury hot coals in the sand, where they can burn bare feet.
